1, The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 3 to issue her passport.

The petitioner vide application dated 28.06.2022 applied for passport. An FIR N�� !��"�� "��#��$�� The petitioner has been granted concession of anticipatory bail vide order dated 23.05.2022 passed by this Court in CRM-M-14588 of 2021. As on date police has not filed its report under Section 173 Cr.P.C.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that case of the petitioner is squarely covered by judgment of this Court in Mohan Lal @ Mohna vs. Union of India and others 2023 SCC Online P&H 1391 �

�� Mr. Inderpreet Singh Kang, AAG, Punjab, on instructions from HC Pal Singh, submits that it is factually correct that till date challan has not been presented against the petitioner.

Faced with this, counsel for Union of India submits that application of the petitioner shall be processed and adjudicated within six weeks from today. In case, passport authority comes to a conclusion that petitioner is not entitled to passport, he would be granted an opportunity of hearing.

In the wake of statement of counsel for Union of India, the instant petition stands disposed of.
