Today, at the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant petition. He has however, prayed that since the FIR was registered more than a year back and till date the police has not concluded its investigation and that the petitoner is being unnecessarily harassed and is being called to the police station

repeatedly, some direction be issued to the police to conclude the investigation.
Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the instant petition is dismissed as withdrawn. However, the investigating agency is directed to conclude the investigation expeditiously, preferably within a period of 3 months from today so that final report be submitted thereafter at the earliest.
