Prayer in this petition und e r Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for quashing o f FIR No. 140 dated (An n exure P-1) dated 02.09.2020 registered under Sections 354D and 5 0 6 read with Section 34 IPC (Sections 6 6-E and 67 of the Informati o n Technology Act, 2000 (for short-‘the A ct’), added later on) at Polic e Station Maqsudan, Jalandhar (Rural) an d all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compro m ise dated 06.06.2024 (Annex u re P-2) arrived at between the parties.

At the very outset, on instruc t ions from ASI Harbans Singh, learned co u nsel for the State has informe d that vide DDR No. 27 dated 15.09.202 0 , offence under Section 201 IP C and Sections 66-E and 67 of the Act, h a ve been added in the FIR, but Section 201 IPC had not been mentioned in the head note and prayer cla u se of the petition.
