The present pe��on has been filed under Ar�cle 226 of the Cons�tu�on of India for issuance of a direc�on to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the pe��oner.

Counsel for the pe��oner submits that he does not press the protec�on at this stage. However, he further submits that the pe��oner be permi�ed to file a fresh representa�on and the said representa�on be decided in a �me bound manner.

Let the pe��oner represent the concerned Senior Superintendent of Police/ Commissioner of Police, within two weeks from today. If the pe��oner files a representa�on with in the above-men�oned �me period of two weeks, then, the same shall be decided by the concerned Senior Superintendent of Police/ Commissioner of Police, within ten days a�er the receipt of representa�on, either himself/herself or by authorizing and delega�ng it to any officer holding IPS cadre. It is clarified that in case, the representa�on is not decided within ten days, then this Court shall direct the concerned Inspector General of Police to decide the same. It is further clarified that such order must be a reasoned order, and the same be communicated to the counsel as well as representa�onists without delay. In the representa�on, pe��oner to men�on the email I’d of his counsel so that the concerned officer could communicate them outcome.

Liberty reserved to the pe��oner to file fresh pe��on or to take other legal remedies in accordance with the law.
