The inmates Karan Kumar, Ravinder Singh @ Bhinda and Bikramjit Singh admi�ed vide their respec!ve statements that on 25.7.2023 at about 9:30 to 10 AM, one mobile phone Oppo from the inmate Karan Kumar by the official present on duty, who produced inmate Karan Kumar along with recovered mobile phone before the present pe!!oner Jasbir Singh. ThereaAer, the inmate Karan Kumar was taken to District Courts, Amritsar for his produc!on before the Court. In the meanwhile, inmate Ravinder Singh @ Bhinda nego!ated with the present pe!!oner Jasbir Singh for returning the mobile phone and their deal was set in Rs. 25,000/- and on asking of the present pe!!oner Jasbir Singh, Rs. 25,000/- was transferred through UPI account of mobile No. 81949-88269 of Mohit Kumar cousin of another inmate Bikramjit Singh by wife of the inmate Ravinder Singh Bhinda which was to be paid later on to the present pe!!oner. Thereupon, the pe!!oner Jasbir Singh had returned the mobile phone to the inmate Ravinder Singh. However, as this ma�er came to no!ce of senior officer, the above amount Rs. 25,000/- was again deposited in the UPI account of inmate Ravinder Singh Bhinda. The pe!!oner Jasbir Singh had stated vide his statement as the inmates Ravinder Singh @ Bhinda had extended him threat to seek him outside the jail. Therefore, he got scared and returned the mobile phone to the inmate Ravinder Singh @ Bhinda and did not inform his senior officers.
