Petition herein is under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking, inter alia , issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as Constable on compassionate ground as her husband died in harness.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner submitted representation dated 01.12.2020 (Annexure P-2) followed by 25.01.2021 (Annexure P-1) but the same have not been adverted by the respondents till date. Hence, the writ petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be satisfied, at this stage, if a final decision is taken by the respondents on the representations dated 25.01.2021and 01.12.2020 (Annexures P-1 and P-2).

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the representations dated 25.01.2021 and 01.12.2020 (Annexures P-1 and P-2) and also by keeping in view the contentions stated in the present petition by treating the same as supplementary representation and decide the same, by passing a speaking order, in accordance with law.
