This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect his life and liberty from the hands of private respondent.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was in live-in relationship with respondent No. 4 and a compromise dated 24.10.2020 was also executed between them. He further submits that even though the petitioner gave all rights to respondent No. 4 at par with his first wife but still she continued to extract money from the petitioner. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner has also moved a representation dated 18.5.2021 (Annexure P-4) to the police authorities but no action has been taken on the same till date.

Without adverting to the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrurrespondent No. 2 to look into the representation dated 18.5.2021(Annexure P-4) moved by the petitioner and decide the same within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, as per law.
