The case is taken up through video conferencing on account of COVID 2019.
Vide order dated 18.02.2020, a petition bearing CWP No.4500 of 2020 filed by the petitioner was disposed of with a direction to the District Development and Panchayat Officer, Barnala, to consider the petitioner's legal notice and take appropriate action as warranted in law.
A reply by way of affidavit of Sanjeev Kumar, District Development and Panchayat Officer, Barnala has been filed wherein it has been stated that in respect of the first complaint of the petitioner, it was found that the bricks were lying in the private property and not in the Shamlat Land and as such, the allegation of the petitioner was not proved. In respect of the second complaint of the petitioner, recovery notice for an amount of Rs.15,96,686/- with 15% interest has been sent to the Sarpanch

which has been directed to be recovered as arrears of land revenue. In the complaint dated 24.01.2018 regarding removal of encroachment from khasra Nos. 718, 719, 720 and 721, the demarcation was got conducted through Naib Tehsildar, Mehal Kalan but in the demarcation, no encroachment was found.
In view thereof as the order stands complied with, the present writ petition has become infructuous and disposed of accordingly.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has disputed the demarcation report. It would be open to the petitioner to avail of any appropriate remedy in accordance with law in respect thereof.
