This matter is being taken up for hearing through video conferencing due to the outbreak of pandemic, COVID-19.
Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia submits that the petitioner’s claim is squarely covered by decision dated 02.07.2014 in CWP2605-1998, which has been upheld on 29.07.2019 in LPA-1991-2014. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Executive Engineer, Water Supply and Sanitation Division No.3, SAS Nagar, in response to the petitioner’s representation responded that a final decision regarding implementation of the orders in this regard has not yet been taken. The petitioner, it is submitted, thereafter, submitted a representation dated 15.07.2020 (Annexure P-5) before the Secretary, Government of Punjab, Water Supply and Sanitation Department Punjab, but no action is being

taken by authorities though limitation for filing an appeal/special leave petition has long elapsed.
At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer for a decision on his representation dated 15.07.2020 (Annexure P-5), in a time bound manner.

Ms. Kanica Sachdeva, Asst. A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. Learned counsel for the State does not raise any serious objection to the limited prayer addressed.
Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of this case, but
without any expression of opinion on the merits of the matter, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to consider and decide representation dated 15.07.2020 (Annexure P-5), within a period of three months from receipt of certified copy of this order.
