The challenge in the writ petition is to the order dated 25.05.1998 (Annexure P-2) whereby the post of Sarpanch for the Village Adda Hardo Jhanda was reserved for Scheduled Caste category. Since the term for the office of Sarpanch for the relevant period has already been over, nothing survives for consideration in the writ petition.
The writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous.
