The issue raised in the present petition is regarding payment of compensation in view of acquisition of land. The petitioners claim that the land is recorded as mushtarka malkaan , hence, they are entitled to receive compensation, but it has not been paid to them.
The award was announced by the Land Acquisition Collector on 21.10.2016. In case the petitioners have any grievance about their right to receive compensation, they can avail of their appropriate remedies under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 or the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
