Satbir Kaur Vs State of Punjab and Ors.

The instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a direction to official respondent Nos. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No. 4 to 6 and their family members. In this regard she has also approached the authorities by way of representation dated 24.05.2017 (Annexure P-1).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be satisfied if respondent No.2 be directed to look into the representation dated 24.05.2017 (Annexure P-1), in a time bound manner.

Without going into the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 24.05.2017 (Annexure P-1), within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order and take necessary action in accordance with law and if required, necessary protection be given.
