Briefly, the facts of the case are that vide notification dated 20.10.2001, issued under Section 4 of the Act, the State of Haryana sought to acquire the land, situated in the revenue estate of village Raipur, Tehsil and District Sonepat. The same was followed by notification dated 18.10.2002, issued under Section 6 of the Act. Vide award No.12 dated 14.10.2004, the Collector assessed the compensation for the acquired land @ 3,50,000/- per acre for chahi/nehri and 2,50,000/- per acre for gair mumkin and banjar qadim kind of land. The appellant did not file objections under Section 18 of the Act. The other landowner, namely, Nafe Singh whose land was also acquired vide same notification, filed objections, which were referred to the learned Addl. District Judge, who vide award dated 23.3.2013, determined the compensation of the acquired land at the same rate. Thereafter, the landowner, being not satisfied, filed appeal before this court, which is pending.
