Grievance of the petitioners is that they, having married against the wishes of private respondents, apprehend danger from them and their representation dated 11.10.2014 made before the Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur to protect their lives and liberty has remained unresponded to so far. However, the representation dated 11.10.2014(Annexure P5) may not have reached the quarter concerned as of now and the Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur could not be expected to consider the same and take a decision thereon.

Be that as it may, the petition is disposed of with direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, to decide the representation dated 11.10.2014(Annexure P5) stated to have been made by the petitioners before him and take appropriate action

thereon as per procedure known to law as expeditiously as possible. It may be added that this order shall not mean to make any comment on the correctness of the averments made in the petition, including the validity of the marriage and attainment of age of majority by the petitioners.

This order shall have no bearing on a criminal/civil case instituted/ to be instituted involving the petitioners.
