taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 28.07.2014 (Annexure P-5) made by the petitioners. It has been stated that date of birth of petitioner No.1-Gagandeep Kaur is 24.02.1995 as per Annexure P-1 and date of birth of petitioner No.2-Pintu is 15.06.1989 as per Annexure P-2. They got married on 28.07.2014. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-4. It has been submitted that petitioners are presently residing at Amritsar.

In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and without going into the merits of the claim raised, this petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to move a representation seeking protection of their lives and liberty due to their

marriage against the wishes of parents of petitioner No.1, with Commissioner of Police, Amritsar and in case any representation is filed, Commissioner of Police, Amritsar will take appropriate action on the same in accordance with law.

However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
