The petitioners of their own solemnized their marriage amongst themselves. The petitioners had a liking for each other for the last more than two years. Their relationship came to the knowledge of the parents (respondents No.4 and 5) of petitioner No.1. They got agitated over the relationship between the petitioners as they belong to different communities. Parents (respondents No.4 and 5) of petitioner No.1 had tried to marry her forcibly with a boy of their choice in their community. Therefore, the petitioners have solemnized their marriage amongst themselves. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the marriage was solemnized at Balaji Mandir, Mansa Devi.

Both the petitioners are stated to be major. The date of birth of Kiran-petitioner No.1, as per her Secondary Examination Certificate (Annexure P-1) issued by the Board of School Education Haryana is 18.07.1995 and the year of birth of petitioner No.2-

Deepak Kumar as per Unique Identification Authority of India Card (Annexure P-2) is 1984. Photographs (Annexure P-3) taken at the time of marriage have been placed on record. On account of danger to the life and liberty of the petitioners from respondents No.4 and 5 who are parents of petitioner No.1, they have approached this Court.

In view of the threats held out to the petitioners, they submitted a representation dated 30.05.2014 (Annexure P-4) to the Superintendent of Police, Hisar (respondent No.2) to protect their life and liberty. However, despite the said representation, the threat to them persists.

Both the petitioners are present in Court and are identified by their counsel. It is stated by the petitioners that they have solemnized their marriage with each other of their own free will and desire and without any kind of pressure or undue influence. It is also stated by the petitioners that they were not earlier married. Besides, they are happy with their marriage.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case, the criminal miscellaneous petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No.2 and 3 that in case petitioners approach any of them setting out their grievances as have been made in the present petition, the same would be looked into and considered by them independently and in accordance with law.
