Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 17.04.2014 (Annexure P-4) made by the petitioner No.1. It has been stated that date of birth of petitioner No.1- Deepti is 26.11.1989 and date of birth of petitioner No.2-Sarwan Singh is 04.08.1990. They got married on 17.04.2014. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-3.
In view of the limited prayer made by the learned counsel for
the petitioners and without going into the merits of the claim raised, this

petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 Commissioner of Police, Amritsar to look into the representation dated 17.04.2014 (Annexure P-4) and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on
the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
