The petitioner seeks quashing of the Award dated 24.01.2000 (Annexure P-1) passed by the Tribunal constituted under the Punjab Town Improvement Trust, 1922, whereby compensation in respect of the acquired land has been enhanced from Rs.45,000/- per acre to Rs.500/- per marla, i.e., approximately Rs.1 lac per acre.
During the course of hearing learned counsel for the petitioner fairly states that a bunch of writ petitions including CWP No.7630 of 2000 (Improvement Trust, Khanna versus Gurjit Singh and another) preferred by the petitionerTrust against the same award have already been dismissed by this Court vide order dated 02.09.2013. His statement appears to be correct.
For the reasons already assigned in the abovestated order, the present petition is also dismissed.
