Short counter affidavit of D.P.Sharda, Audit Officer, O/o Audit Officer, Cooperative Societies, Gurdaspur has been filed wherein it has been deposed that the House Rent Allowance which was being drawn by the petitioners in accordance with the letter dated 30.8.1988 (Annexure P-1) has been protected till their rate of House Rent Allowance get adjusted as per revised rate in terms of Govt. instructions issued by the Department of Finance vide letter dated 6.2.2008 (Annexure R-IV).
Accordingly, it is prayed that the writ petition has been rendered infructuous and may be disposed of as such.
Ordered accordingly.
