It is the contention of the counsel for the State that the claim of the petitioners stands decided against the petitioners by the Supreme Court in Special Leave Petition (Civil) No. 8006 of 1999 titled as State of Punjab and another vs. J.L. Gupta & others on 15.02.2000. Claim of the petitioners is also covered against them vide a judgment passed in Civil Appeal No.129 of 2003 titled Stated of Punjab and others vs. Amar Nath Goyal and others , decided on 11.8.2005. She, therefore, contends that the writ petition deserves to be dismissed.
Case has been called twice, none has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioners. It appears that the petitioners are not interested in pursuing their claim in the present writ petition, for the reasons as have been specified by the counsel for the State, which have been recorded above.
Dismissed for non-prosecution.
