The prayer made in the present writ petition is for quashing the selection of respondents No.8 and 9 to the post of Assistant Professo in Mechanical Engineering and for consideration and appointment of the petitioner to the said post in the respondent no.3, College where the petitioner was working as Senior Lecturer.
Notice of actual date of hearing was issued to the petitioner. Office report shows that the notice issued to the petitioner has been received back with the report that the services of the petitioner were terminated on 9.9.1996. Accordingly, the writ petition has been rendered infructuous and is dismissed for want of prosecution.
