Petitioners have filed this petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.54 dated 11.05.2012 registered under Sections 307, 406,498-A, 323, 34 of the Indian Penal Code, at Police Station City Jagraon, District Ludhiana.

While issuing notice of motion, the following order was passed by this Court on 2.8.2012:-

“ Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are uncle (father's brother) and aunt (father's brother's wife) of the husband. He further submits that petitioners have been implicated at the instance of the complainant only because they are close relatives of the husband. There is no direct and specific allegation against the petitioners.

In the meantime, in the event of arrest, petitioners shall

be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of Arresting/investigating Officer subject to the conditions provided under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

The petitioners shall join the investigation as and when required by the investigating agency.”

Learned State counsel, who is assisted by Sub Inspector Hari

Mittar, has submitted that the petitioners have joined investigation in terms of the order of this Court.

Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the interim bail granted by this Court vide order dated 2.8.2012 is made absolute.

Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
