This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to investigate the disappearance of the son of the petitioner.
As per the allegation the son of the petitioner went for bathing in the river Sutlej on 28.03.2012. After about an hour his friends told the petitioner that he had drowned in the river Sutlej near village Bela in District Ropar. The petitioner reached the spot and for about 5-6 days the petitioner, his family members, the friends of his son, divers and the police tried to search but the body could not be discovered. The matter has been investigated by one DSP and also by one Special Investigation Team which
was appointed by the SSP, Ropar, however, the body of the son of the petitioner has not been recovered.

In the circumstances even though this court has full sympathy
for this bereaved father, no further action can be taken.
Petition is dismissed.
Since the main case has been decided, the pending Criminal
Misc. Application, if any, also stands disposed of.
