This petition has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No. 1 to 4 to give possession of plots/houses allotted to the petitioners as per policy of State Government to allot such plots/houses to the poor people.
Upon notice, reply was filed wherein it is stated that as on today no allotment letter is being issued to any person to whom the plot has been allotted and at present construction of houses on the allotted plots is going on. It is further stated that on completion of the construction, applications made by the beneficiaries including the petitioners shall be considered by a Committee constituted under the Chairmanship of SDM, Malout and thereafter, allotment of houses will be made as per entitlement.
In view of the reply filed by the State, this writ petition has become infructuous and disposed of accordingly.
