The petitioner has approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of certiorari for quashing rejection order dated 20.09.2010 (Annexure P-4) whereby the case of the petitioner for allotment of dealership of Kisan Sewa Kender of Indian Oil Corporation has been rejected and a further direction for issuance of a writ of mandamus has been sought to allot the said dealership to the petitioner in terms of advertisement dated 26.02.2010 (Annexure P-1).

Manager (Law) son of Late Shri O.P. Dawar wherein, in Para 2, it has been stated that the advertisement dated 26.02.2010 in pursuance to which allotment had been sought by the petitioner has been cancelled. Para 2 of the said affidavit dated 02.11.2011 reads as under:
“2. That the advertisement in question in the present writ petition i.e. dated 26.02.2010 was cancelled and fresh advertisement for location Bhangarkhera, Block Khuian Sarvar, Tehsil Abohar, Distt. Ferozepur was released in the newspapers on 27.10.2010.”
