The petitioners praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondent Nos.2 and 3 to hand over 100 Sq. Yards residential plots which were allotted to the petitioners being SC/BPL applicants.

Reply filed on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3, in the Court, is taken on

record.

Counsel for respondent Nos.1 to 3 submits that an inquiry into the legality of the allotment is pending before the Sub Divisional Officer, Panipat and upon conclusion of the enquiry, a report shall be presented to the Deputy Commissioner, Panipat, who shall pass appropriate orders.

We have heard learned counsel for the parties, perused the reply and

express our dismay at delay in concluding the inquiry. It appears that apart from, one officer of the State calling upon another officer to submit a report, no progress has been made.

We, therefore, dispose of this writ petition by directing the Deputy Commissioner, Panipat to conclude the matter finally within two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
