The claim made by the petitioners in the present writ petition is regarding entitlement of the petitioners to the contributory fund @ 10% of their salary as envisaged in Regulation 12.3 of Chapter VIII-E of the Panjab University Calendar, 2007 (for short, 'the University Calendar').
Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the matter has already been considered by this court in Civil Writ Petition No. 8774 of 2004 R. G. Gupta and others vs State of Punjab and others , decided on 6.7.2010, where relief in terms of the aforesaid provisions of the University Calendar was sought by the Lecturers working in various private affiliated aided colleges in the State of Punjab. It has been held that the staff working in the private affiliated colleges are entitled to the benefits as per the amended provisions of the University Calendar. The aforesaid judgment was upheld by a Division Bench of this court on 5.4.2011 in LPA No. 519 of 2011 Anglo Sanskrit High School Khanna Trust and Management Society (Regd.), Khanna and another vs State of Punjab and others.
In view of the aforesaid judgments of this court dealing with the issue, no further orders are required to be passed in the present writ petition. The same is disposed of as such.
