Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to petitioners-Lakhwinder Singh, Jagjeet Singh and Shankar, who have been booked for having committed the offences punishable under Sections 148, 307 and 323 read with Section 149, IPC as well as Section 25 of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioners prays for withdrawal of the present petition for grant of anticipatory bail to petitioners-Lakhwinder Singh and Jagjeet Singh with liberty to surrender before the learned Area Judicial Magistrate and move an application for grant of bail before the appropriate Court.

The petition for grant of anticipatory bail to petitioners-Lakhwinder Singh and Jagjeet Singh is permitted to be withdrawn with the liberty aforesaid.

If the application for grant of bail is presented then the same shall be considered in accordance with law and decided

as expeditiously as possible.

Concededly, petitioner-Shankar has not been assigned any injury to any person, therefore, the prayer for grant of bail to him has not been opposed by the learned counsel for the complainant.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Pala Singh, Police Station, City, Budhlada, submits that petitioner-Shankar has not caused injury to injured-Sukhdev Singh.

In view of the above, the present petition for grant of anticipatory bail to petitioner-Shankar, s/o Balbir Dass, r/o Village Borawal, Tehsil Budhlada, District Mansa, is allowed. In the event of arrest of the petitioner, he shall be released on adinterim anticipatory bail subject to his furnishing personal bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting officer.

The petitioner shall join the investigation as and when required to do so. He shall also abide by the conditions laid down in Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
