“During the course of arguments, the counsel for the parties sought time to discuss the matter with their respective clients, who are present in the Court. The case was taken up after half an hour and with the assistance of their respective counsel, the parties have come to a consensus that the petitioner Jatinder Pal Singh would pay 4,00,000/- in cash or by way of bank draft as one time settlement of permanent alimony to the respondents. Learned counsel for the respondents-Amanpreet Kaur and her son accepts the proposal putforth by learned counsel for the petitioner after obtaining instructions from Smt. Amanpreet Kaur. She also agrees that this settlement would be binding not only to Amanpreet Kaur but to her son also i.e. respondent No.2-Charan Kanwal Singh. Learned counsel for the petitioner, Jatinder Pal Singh, submits that 4,00,000/- would be paid within four months from today, in the Court itself. He further submits that if petitioner Jatinder Pal Singh is able to manage the amount at an earlier stage then proper application shall be moved to take up the case at an early stage.
