At the asking of the Court, Mr. Mehardeep Singh, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.
The petitioners have approached this Court under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, inter alia, for issuance of direction to respondent Nos.1 to 5 for protection of life and liberty of the petitioners as well as other family members at the hands of respondent No.6. It is alleged that under the influence of respondent No.6, the respondent Nos.4 and 5 have been calling them repeatedly to the Police Stations without any reason.
The learned counsel contends that the petitioners have

moved one application, Annexure P-1 addressed to His Excellency, the Governor of Haryana, but no action has been initiated. He further states that they moved application, Annexure P-2, but their grievance has not been redressed.
Heard.
Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction that the petitioners shall move an application before respondent No.3, Superintendent of Police, Sonipat, seeking protection of their lives and liberty, who shall decide the same within a week thereafter according to law.
