The petitioners who are police officials, have been transferred outside the range. The said controversy has now been answered by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in C.A. No.8690/8791 of 2011 State of Haryana v. Kashmir Singh and others. It has been held in the said judgment that the transfer of a police official outside the range is permissible when his lien is maintained.
In view of the aforesaid, the instant petition is held to be without any merit and the action of the respondents in transferring the petitioners outside the

range while maintaining their lien is perfectly in accordance with the provisions of
law.
Dismissed.
