(1). The petitioner is aggrieved by the orders dated 27.08.2007 (Annexure P4 & P5) passed by the Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar whereby respondents No.3 and 4 were exonerated of the charges of the alleged fraud committed by them for their recruitment as Naib Tehsildars.

(2). After filing of this writ petition, the above-mentioned orders passed by the Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar were reviewed/set aside by the Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Punjab vide order dated 13.08.2008 ordering fresh enquiry against the private respondents.
(3). The fresh enquiry pursuant to the orders passed by the Financial Commissioner has since been held.
(4). That being the state of affairs, the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous and is disposed of accordingly, however, with liberty to the petitioner to seek his impleadment in the pending writ petition, if so advised. The petitioner’s challenge to the promotion of respondent No.6 as Tehsildar also no longer survives for the reason that vide an even-dated order, the writ petition filed by respondent No.6 ( CWP No.4179 of 2009 titled as Bhupinder Singh v. State of Punjab & Ors. ) has been disposed of in view of his exoneration in the fresh enquiry by the Financial Commissioner, Revenue, Punjab.
(5). With the afore-mentioned liberty, the writ petition stands
disposed of. Dasti .
