The petitioner has filed this petition seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to release arrears of pay from due dates of promotions as well as all the revised retiral dues along with interest @ 15% per annum.
Having heard learned counsel for the parties I find that the issue involved in the petition stands answered in favour of the petitioner vide order dated 11.05.2006 passed by this Court in Civil Writ Petition No. 12382 of 2003 (Ex.Capt. Darshan Lal Khanna V. State of Punjab) and Civil Writ Petition No. 13766 of 2003 (Chaman Lal Sharma V. State of Punjab) decided on 27.09.2007 which has further been upheld in L.P.A. No. 120 of 2008 (State of Punjab V. Chaman Lal Sharma) decided on 30.04.2008 (Annexure P-7).
Accordingly, this petition is also allowed in the same
terms.
