The petitioner retired as a Peon w.e.f. 30.04.2006. His bonafide impression regarding wrong fixation of his pension and nonpayment of 'interest' on the delayed payments has led to initiation of this 2nd round of litigation. The respondents have filed their reply/affidavit clarifying that the pension of the petitioner has been correctly fixed @ 4134/- per month. They have further stated that a sum of 6774/- towards interest on the delayed payment of 'gratuity' has also been sent but the petitioner did not receive the same.

In view of the fact that due payments have already been made within a reasonable period, the respondents are directed to disburse the above mentioned amount of interest upto date, to the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. As the petitioner was a class-IV employee and was not well conversant with the provisions regarding fixation of pension etc. the respondents are directed to re-examine the same so that no injustice is done to the petitioner. The needful shall be done within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
