The petitioner seeks grant of regular bail in case FIR No.60, dated 24.2.2011, registered under Section 306 of the IPC, at Police Station Payal, District Ludhiana.
On 17.8.2011, the following contention was noticed :-
“ Learned counsel has argued that the alleged suicide notes on the basis of which the case has been registered after 1.1/2 years do not make out an offence under Section 306 IPC and the petitioner has now been in custody for almost two months.”
Counsel for the petitioner has further argued that as per the
suicide note, the wife of the petitioner committed suicide because she
suspected him of having an affair with another woman.

Counsel for the respondent, on instructions from ASI Rajwant Singh, states that charges in the present case have been framed.
It is not disputed that the petitioner has now been in custody for almost four months. In these circumstances, without commenting upon the merits of the case, I deem it appropriate to grant the concession of bail to the petitioner. Bail to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate, Ludhiana.
Petition stands disposed of.
