Reply by way of an affidavit of Gurmej Singh, PPS, DSP, Rural II Gurdaspur has been filed in the Court today and the same is taken on record.
The grievance of the petitioner was that there was an unsatisfactory investigation being conducted by the respondents and no action was taken against respondents no. 6 and 7 and further that a parallel investigation is being undertaken on the basis of some frivolous complaint.
In para 2 of the reply which has been filed today, it has been stated that no parallel inquiry has been conducted and action has been taken against respondent nos. 6 and 7 who were arrested but released on bail subsequently.
Hence, the reply addresses the grievance of the petitioner substantially and therefore, the instant petition has been rendered infructuous and the same is disposed of as such.
