Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he is aggrieved by the mining being conducted by respondent Nos.4 and 5. A civil suit has already been filed by the petitioner against the said respondents, however, they are still continuing the mining. The General Manager-cum-Mining Officer has also contacted SHO, Police Station Phillaur, District Jalandhar on 26.10.2010 for taking action against the respondents for illegal removal of the sand.
Since the Sub Divisional Magistrate has referred the matter to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar, this petition is disposed of with the direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar to pass an appropriate order in the matter as per law within a period of four weeks.
