The petitioner is father-in-law of deceased Sukhpal Kaur who was married to Yadwinder Singh.
As per the allegations of complainant Sukhjit Kaur, the deceased was residing at her parental house but on account of marriage of her sister-in-law (nanad), she was taken by her husband Yadwinder Singh to the matrimonial home in Village Papre Bhai Ke District Mansa where she died an unnatural death. There are general allegations against Yadwinder

Singh and his parents and other family members that they had been harassing and taunting the deceased for getting car in dowry. There are allegations against the mother-in-law that about 10 days prior to the occurrence she had gone to the house of the complainant to demand a sum of Rs.1 lac for marriage of her daughter.
So far as petitioner is concerned, he is stated to be 65 years of age suffering from Fungal Corneal Ulcer. A copy of the OPD card has been placed on record as annexure P-1.
Without expression of any opinion on merits, taking into consideration the ailment and age of the petitioner, he can be granted the concession of bail as he has been in custody w.e.f. December 19, 2010 and the trial has not yet begun.
Petition is allowed. Petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/ surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court.
