In view of the nature of the order which I propose to pass, there is no necessity to seek any counter-reply from the respondents at this stage.

The petitioner has applied for the post of Art and Craft Teacher in Sports Category reserved for Scheduled Castes (MajhabiBalmiki). His grievance is that though a composite advertisement was issued in the year 2006 and pursuant thereto, selection for various other

categories was finalized after conclusion of counselling in August/September, 2009, the finalization of selection process in respect of the post for which the petitioner has applied, is still awaited as repeated counsellings are being held. It is averred that the petitioner has attended all the counsellings including the last one held vide letter dated 5.2.2010 (Annexure P-7).

Having heard learned counsel for the parties, I am of the considered view that the respondents cannot continue with the selection process indefinitely especially when repeated counsellings have already been held for verifications of the certificates etc. of the candidates. Consequently, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to finalise the selection process, if not finalised, as early as possible and let the final result be declared preferably within a period of two months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
