The petitioners are aggrieved at the selection and appointment of respondent Nos.7 & 8 as Education Volunteer, made by the Village Education Development Committee of village Bagrian, District Sangrur. They allege that no proper munadi was conducted giving opportunity to all the eligible candidates to compete for these posts. In this regard some of the villagers/candidates are said to have represented to the Director General of School Education, Punjab-respondent No.2 vide representations dated 1.6.2009 and 22.5.2009 (Annexures P-9 & P-10 respectively).

A perusal of the resolution passed by the Committee vide Annexure P-3, duly signed by the Sarpanch of the Gram Panchayat,

Bagrian reveals that munadi was conducted in the village.

In this view of the matter when the petitioners are harping upon certain disputed facts, I deem it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition with a direction to respondent No.2 to take cognizance of the representations, if any, received against the appointment of Education Volunteers in village Bargrian, District Sangrur and dispose of the same in accordance with law/Government Policy, as early as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
