The petitioner is dependent of Ex-serviceman. He had competed and had obtained 113 marks. As per his grievance, the person less meritorious stood selected and the claim of the petitioner ignored. In the reply filed, it is conceded that there were 20 posts reserved for Ex-serviceman (General category), 9 eligible Exserviceman (General category) candidates were selected and the last selected candidates had 107 marks. Against the remaining 11 posts, dependent of Ex-serviceman were considered as they were eligible to be considered only in the event of non-availability of ESM General category.
