Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 Code of Criminal Procedure for issuance of directions to respondent No. 1 and 3 to protect the life and liberty which is being infringed by respondent No. 4 and other police personnel of CIA Staff, Hoshiarpur, and protection from false implication by respondent No. 4 and other policemen.

It has been averred in the written statement filed by respondent No. 1 to 3 that six criminal cases have been registered against the petitioner No. 3. The said fact is disclosed in para 2 of the preliminary objections. The particulars of the criminal cases registered against the petitioner No. 3 as disclosed in para No. 2 of the reply are as under:-

(i)FIR No. 104 dated 5.9.2008 under Section 392, 34 IPC, P.S. Bhogpur, District Jalandhar.

(ii)FIR No. 123 dated 15.11.2008 under Section 309, 120-B IPC, P.S. City Hoshiarpur, District Hoshiarpur.

(iii)FIR No. 246 dated 3.11.2008 under Section 39, 120-B IPC, P.S. Sadar, Hoshiarpur, District Hoshiarpur.

(iv)FIR No. 77 dated 15.10.2008 under Section 452, 324, 323,

Learned State counsel on the instructions from respondent No. 4 has submitted that now another case under Section 25 of Arms Act has been registered against petitioner No. 3 and he is in custody in the said case i.e. FIR No. 97 dated 19.8.2010 registered at Police Station, Bullowal, District Hoshiarpur. Learned State counsel has further submitted that petitioner No. 1, 2 and 4 are not wanted in any case and has stated that no harassment was ever meted out to the said petitioners by respondent No. 4 who is present in person and has assured that no harassment would be meted out by petitioner 1, 2 and 4 as no cases are pending against them and they are not involved in any criminal case till today.

In these circumstances, keeping in view the fact that petitioner No. 3 is already involved in a number of criminal cases and on assurance given by the respondent No. 4 qua petitioner No. 1, 2 and 4, no further interference by this Court is called for.

The petition stands dispose of accordingly.
