Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for issuance of direction to the SHO/IO/Arresting Officer of Police Sation Sadar Jalandhar/ Illaqa Magistrate to release the petitioner on bail in the event of his arrest in case FIR No.454 dated 30.11.1999, under Section 323 of the Indian Penal Code, registered at Police Station Sadar Jalandhar, District Jalandhar.
On 30.9.2010, the following order was passed by this Court :-
"Learned counsel for the petitioner submits
that due to inadvertence, the petitioner could not
surrender before the trial Court.
List again on 18.11.2010.
In the meantime, the petitioner is directed

to surrender before the trial Court and the trial Court shall release the petitioner on interim bail subject to
its satisfaction.”
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that in terms of the above order the petitioner has surrendered before the trial Court and has furnished interim bail.
The said fact is not disputed by the learned State counsel, who is assisted by ASI Santokh Singh.
Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the interim bail furnished by the petitioner before the trial Court, in terms of the order of this Court dated 30.9.2010, is made absolute.
The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
