father. A wooden batten, which was lying there, was picked up by Balwant Singh and he gave a blow with that wooden batten, which hit on the head of his father (Darshan Lal). Blood started oozing out from the head of his father and after some time, he died. He further stated that both the accused remained on making deliberations. He was threatened by them that he would be killed, if he divulged about occurrence to any one. They wrapped his father in a blanket and then put him on a scooter, which belonged to accused Balwant Singh. Balwant Singh drove the scooter and Veero sat on pillion by holding the dead body. While going on the scooter outside the house, threatened him that if he divulged anything to any one, he will be done to death. He did not talk about the occurrence to any one. He also stated that after 14-15 days of the occurrence, he went to village Wazidpur, where his grand-father was residing, and told him about the alleged occurrence. This witness was cross-examined at length by the defence counsel, but nothing adverse could be elicited, which could caste a doubt regarding the truthfulness and reliability of his testimony. He has stated that the house of accused Balwant Singh, where the occurrence had taken place, is not surrounded by other residential houses, which are existing at a distance of about 100 yards, therefore, on hearing the noise, none was attracted to the house of Balwant Singh. He stated that he did not disclose about the occurrence earlier to his grand-father or any other person, because the accused had threatened him that if he divulged the information, he will be killed.
