The compensation is enhanced to Rs.79/- per square yard. In addition thereto the appellant shall also be entitled to solatium at the rate of 30 per cent on the compensation amount under section 23 (2) of the Act and additional amount of 12 per cent per annum on the assessed compensation, besides statutory interest. The appellant shall also be entitled to costs of appeal which are assessed at Rs.3000/-.
