Notice of motion.
Mr. P.C. Goyal, Addl. A.G., Punjab has been asked to accept notice on behalf of the respondent-State.
The petitioner has filed this petition challenging the election of respondent no.6 as Sarpanch of the Panchayat with a further prayer that the petitioner may be declared as Sarpanch of the Panchayat under the Scheduled Caste (Woman) Category. Further prayer is for a direction to respondents no.3 to 5 to decide the inquiry pertaining to Gram Panchayat Sagar Kalan, Block Khadoor Sahib. At the time of hearing learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the relief regarding the challenge to the election of respondent no.6 and also that the petitioner may be declared as the Sarpanch in place of respondent no.6, may be allowed to be withdrawn.
Prayer allowed.
Learned counsel has confined the prayer only for taking decision to complete the inquiry pertaining to the Gram Panchayat Sagar Kalan.

In view of the short prayer, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents no.3 to 5 to complete the inquiry, if any, against the Panchayat and take the final decision thereon within a period of six months from the date certified copy of this order is served upon the competent authority.
