This is an application under Section 151 of the Code of Civil Procedure for stay of further proceedings before the trial court.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the matter has been referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre by this Court for reconciliation between the parties. He further states that during the pendency of the present petition in this Court, a decree of divorce has since been passed by the trial court thereby rendering the present revision petition as infructuous. He, however, states that the present case is pending before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court and is fixed for 31.7.2009 and the same may be be taken up for hearing today itself.
At the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the date of hearing in the main case is preponed from 31.7.2009 to today and taken up for hearing.
