The petitioner joined the police department as a constable on 27th June, 1973. He retired as Sub Inspector on 31st August, 2007 after rendering 34 years and two months of service.
The grievance of the petitioner is that he has been paid his retiral dues after an inordinate delay of seven months. He has also served a demand notice asking the respondents to pay him interest.
After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner and after going through the contents of the writ petition, we are of the view that the delay in the case of the petitioner is not very substantial. All the retiral dues have already been released to the petitioner.

In view of the above, the petitioner is not entitled to any
interest on the retiral dues.
No merits.
Dismissed.
