The petitioner has prayed that directions be issued to the respondents to appoint her as Supervisor from amongst the posts reserved for children of Freedom Fighters as the petitioner is the daughter-in-law of a Freedom Fighter. The petitioner is already working as Aanganwadi worker. The petitioner appeared in the written test for the post of Supervisor who is to be appointed from amongst the Aanganwadi workers. The petitioner had applied in the Freedom Fighters quota being daughter-in-law of Sh. Gurdial Singh, a Freedom Fighter. The case of the petitioner was considered as a General category candidate, however, she was not successful as she had secured less marks than the last selected candidate in the General category. The petitioner has prayed that her case should have been considered in the Freedom Fighters quota as the petitioner is daughter-in-law of a Freedom Fighter.
Reply has been filed on behalf of the respondents as per Annexure R-1 the posts are only reserved for children and grand children of Freedom Fighters and there is no additional quota for considering a daughter-in-law in the Freedom Fighters quota.

In view of the instructions (Annexure R-1) dated 3.11.1988, the petitioner (daughter-in-law) is not entitled to claim appointment as Supervisor under the Freedom Fighters quota. We find no merit in the writ petition and the same is dismissed.
