The petitioner – prisoner is on bail and is due to surrender today.
The petitioner – prisoner has applied for extension of parole in order to have the treatment for heart disease.
The learned counsel for the petitioner states that interests of justice would be served and he would be content if the respondents are directed to get her the required treatment at DMC, Ludhiana. The averments made with regard to the state of health

of the petitioner – prisoner are supported by a medical certification (Annexure P/1).
Notice of motion.
On the asking of the Court, Ms. Manjari Nehru, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State.
The petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents (all of them) to ensure that the petitioner is got treated at DMC Ludhiana, for her treatment forthwith. It will be for the State counsel to communicate the order to the Competent Authority.
Copy of the order be given to the learned State counsel under the signatures of the Court Secretary.
